I have a single extruder for grid II+. I’d like to add another extruder so I can print two colors. Do I need to buy the dual extruder or can I buy a single and add it next to my existing extruder ?
I had the dual extruder and it worked perfectly. You will need the dual extruder if you want to print two colors on your object EASILY. With one extruder, you will need to swap out the color during or after the job. I really never used both extruder, because I was only prototyping anyways…
If you want to upgrade single head printer into dual head you need to buy dual head extuder and pedestal. Pedestal is extruder holder. Single head and dual head pedestal are different.
